1. Heavy Rain Causes Flooding in Bali's Denpasar and Jembrana
Persistent heavy rainfall over the last two days in Bali has caused flooding in several densely populated areas of Denpasar. Since the early hours of Wednesday, September 10, 2025, locations in West Denpasar, including the Pura Demak, Monang-Maning, Tegal Kerta, and Pasar Kumbasari districts, have been submerged.
Major General Piek Budyakto, Commander of IX/Udayana Regional Military Command (Kodam), ordered the deployment of troops from Kodim 1611/Badung. These forces, along with Landing Craft Rubber Boats (LCR), were dispatched to assist residents affected by the floods.
Led by their commander, Colonel I Putu Tangkas Wiratawan, the troops focused on evacuating trapped residents and salvaging their belongings.
2. What to Know About Gemini AI's Viral Miniature Action Figure Generator
Social media has recently been flooded with digital action figure photos generated through a unique new feature from Gemini AI.
Users are transforming their portraits, group photos, and even everyday activities, such as riding motorcycles or driving cars, into digital miniatures that resemble professional collectible figurines displayed on a desk.
The trend has quickly gone viral across Instagram, TikTok, and X, while also dominating Google Trends searches in the past two days with keywords such as “prompt Gemini AI,” “Google Gemini miniatures,” and “action figures.”
3. What's Next for Nepal After Deadly Protests Force PM Out?
Nepal's Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli stepped down on Tuesday following violent anti-government protests, plunging the poor Himalayan nation into fresh political turmoil.
"In view of the adverse situation in the country, I have resigned effective today to facilitate the solution to the problem and to help resolve it politically in accordance with the constitution," Oli said in his resignation letter to President Ram Chandra Poudel.
The resignation came after demonstrators set fire to the homes of some of Nepal's top political leaders, including those of President Poudel, and Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.
