TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Senior Market Analyst Mirae Asset Sekuritas Nafan Aji Gusta predicts that the Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG) will move between support levels of 7,803-7,736 and resistance levels of 7,900-7,958 in the trading session on Monday, September 8, 2025. The IHSG previously closed at 7,867.35, down 18.51 points, or 0.23 percent.
Nafan believes that the cancellation of the housing allowance policy for members of the House of Representatives (DPR) will give a positive sentiment for IHSG next week. "Because this gradually fulfills the aspirations of the people, and of course, this can ease the less conducive political and security conditions," said Nafan when contacted by Tempo on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
According to Nafan, the development of this policy will positively impact the risk appetite of capital market players. Other factors that will affect the movement of IHSG next week are the Consumer Confidence Index to be released by Bank Indonesia. Nafan projects that the Consumer Confidence Index will increase. Additionally, next week's announcement of the foreign exchange reserves position will affect the movement of the IHSG.
Nevertheless, Nafan stated that as of year to date, foreign capital flows still recorded a net foreign sell. He said that market players are still awaiting the developments in Indonesia's political and security situation. "If it's conducive, the trend of net foreign sales should ease," he said.
Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Company Secretary Kautsar Primadi Nurahmad stated on Thursday, September 4, 2025, that foreign investors recorded a net sell of Rp305.18 billion. "Throughout 2025, foreign investors recorded a net sell value of Rp55.13 trillion," said Kautsar in an official statement on Thursday, September 4, 2025.
Meanwhile, the Stock market capitalization increased by 0.2 percent this week, rising from Rp14,182 trillion to Rp14,211 trillion. Conversely, the average frequency, volume, and value of daily IHSG transactions decreased this week.
The frequency of daily stock market transactions over the course of one week reached 2.08 million, which is a 9.8 percent decrease from the previous week's figure of 2.31 million. Then, the daily stock market transaction volume this week was recorded at 37.24 billion shares, a 21 percent decrease from the previous week, which was 47.19 billion shares.
Changes also occurred in the average value of daily IDX transactions, which decreased by 28.4 percent to Rp18.05 trillion from Rp25.22 trillion the previous week.
