TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts light to moderate rain in parts of Jakarta today, Saturday, March 28, 2026.
According to the BMKG’s weather forecast, West Jakarta is likely to experience moderate and light rain, accompanied by heavy cloud cover at times.
Meanwhile, heavy clouds are expected to loom over Central Jakarta today, while at the same time, drizzles are forecast in South Jakarta.
In East Jakarta, the weather is predicted to vary between drizzly rain and thick cloud cover.
In North Jakarta, light rain is expected with thick cloud cover in the afternoon, while the Seribu Islands will be cloudy today.
BMKG urges the public to remain vigilant about the potential weather changes and to prepare weather-appropriate equipment when engaging in outdoor activities.
BMKG forecasts that air temperatures in Jakarta on Saturday will range from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds ranging from 0 to 14 kilometers per hour.
Meanwhile, the Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) urges the public to remain vigilant against potential flooding caused by rain and to immediately contact the 112 emergency service in case of an emergency. This service is available free of charge 24 hours a day.
