KPK Raids Bali Immigration Office in Silmy Karim Graft Case

3 hours ago 1

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The investigators at Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) have raided the Immigration Office in Denpasar, Bali, today, Friday, June 19, as part of the ongoing probe into alleged extortion within the Immigration DG.

"The raid is indeed part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged extortion involving the processing of residency permits for foreign nationals," said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Friday.

Budi did not detail which evidence was seized from the recent raid, as it's still underway. "We will provide updates," he said.

Earlier, KPK had raided three locations in the investigation into the alleged extortion case involving former Deputy Minister of Immigration and Corrections, Silmy Karim. The raids took place on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

"The investigators carried out raids at three locations, namely at the Immigration Office, the West Jakarta Immigration Office, and the residence of the suspect JSP (Juniadi Sri Priambudi)," said Budi.

From the raid in Silmy Karim's office, the investigators seized documents, electronic evidence, and tens of millions of rupiah in cash.

As for the raid at the West Jakarta Immigration Office, the investigators seized documents and electronic evidence. "Meanwhile, at the residence of JSP (Juniadi Sri Priambudi), the investigators seized several documents," said Budi.

KPK named Silmy Karim and seven Immigration DR officers as suspects in the graft case. They are former Acting Director General of Immigration Saffar Muhammad Godam; Stay Permit Director Jaya Saputra; Head of Special Class I Immigration Office Non-TPI West Jakarta Ronald Arman Abdullah; Head of Residency Permit Subdirectorate Bagus Bramantyo; Head of Residency Permit Subdirectorate Tessar Bayu Setyaji; Chair of the KITAS (Limited Stay Permit Card) Team Juniadi Sri Priambudi; and stay permit field staff Gusti Bernardiansyah.

The suspects are accused of enjoying Rp357 billion from processing foreign worker permits. Based on the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK) investigation, the funds flowed through 96 accounts from 2019 to 2025. "Allegedly originating from applicants for immigration services," said Setyo.

KPK considers the actions of the suspects to have violated the tariff provisions set out in Government Regulation No. 45 of 2024 concerning the Types and Tariffs on Non-Tax State Revenue Applicable at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. "These tariffs cannot be circumvented or added to," said Setyo.
