TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Six Indonesian representatives have qualified for the final and will compete for the 2026 Thailand Masters title. The two titles in the men's doubles and mixed doubles categories at the BWF (Badminton World Federation) Super 300 tournament are guaranteed to be brought home to Indonesia.
In the men's doubles, second-seeded Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin, who were finalists at the 2026 Indonesia Masters last week, will face their seniors, Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana, the top seeds. This will be their first meeting in the final.
Leo/Bagas should be wary of Raymond/Joaquin's performance. The young pair previously defeated two other seniors, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, on their way to the final of last week's Indonesia Masters.
Next, sixth-seeded Adnan Maulana/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil will face compatriots Bobby Setiabudi/Melati Daeva Oktavianti. These two pairs have met twice, both in 2024, with Adnan/Indah winning each time.
Their last meeting was at the 2024 Malaysia International Challenge in September of that year. Both pairs are developing, so this battle between national and non-national training players is expected to be a tight one.
Indonesia has the opportunity to add two titles to its men's singles tally. Moh. Zaki Ubaidillah, 18, who reached the final after defeating his partner, second-seeded Alwi Farhan, will face host Panitchaphon Teeraratsakul.
The Thai player, three years his senior, has previously faced each other twice and lost both times. They last met at the 2025 Kumamoto Masters Japan, where Ubaidillah lost after three games.
Another Indonesian pair, Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, who have only partnered in two tournaments this year, will face Bao Li Jing/Li Yi Jing of China in the title match.
The only event without Indonesian representatives is the women's singles. The title will be contested by Indian players Devika Sihag and Goh Jin Wei, both unseeded players.
