TEMPO.COJakarta - When Westlife performed "A Gala Evening" at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) at Pantai Indah Kapuk 2 (PIK 2), Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia, on Tuesday night, February 10, 2026, the audience was engrossed in reminiscence.

Before performing in Tangerang, Westlife had previously held the concert at Graha UNESA, Surabaya, on Sunday, February 8, 2026.

Both the concerts' atmospheres were lively and warm from the start, as thousands of attendees were transported back in time to the tunes of the Irish band, which rose to international fame after releasing its debut album, "Westlife," in 1999.

The crowd's roar echoed throughout the concert area as Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, and Kian Egan took the stage to perform "World of Our Own."

"Hello Jakarta! I love you," Shane exclaimed in Indonesian.

Westlife then continued their performance with their popular song "If I Let You Go," which had the Westlifers—the group's fans—singing along like a mass karaoke session.

They then performed hits like "Bop Bop Baby" and "When You're Looking Like That," bringing back memories of the late 90s and early 2000s.

At the "A Gala Evening" concert on Tuesday night (February 10th), Shane, Kian, and Nicky performed without Mark Feehily, who was still recovering from his illness.

Even without Mark, the Westlife concert was still lively and grand, accompanied by orchestral music.

The Westlife members occasionally greeted fans with smiles and jokes, creating a friendly atmosphere throughout the concert.

As Westlife performed "Mandy" and "I Have a Dream," many in the audience sang along with their eyes closed, lost in memories.

"This song is from our early albums, it's very old, just like me," Kian said.

"Hey, don't laugh, if I'm old, you're old too," he joked before performing "What Makes a Man."

Westlife then performed the popular song "Uptown Girl" and added a jazz touch to "Ain't That a Kick in the Head" and "Mack the Knife."

Popular songs like "Flying Without Wings," "My Love," "What About Now," and "You Raise Me Up" were also performed, drawing the audience along with heartfelt songwriting.

Westlife concluded the concert with "Swear It Again."

Westlife performed a total of 19 songs, making "A Gala Evening" feel like a celebration of their musical journey, which, at one time, has accompanied the journeys of many people's lives, mostly from the Gen X and the Millennials.
