Iran's IRGC Strikes Israeli Intelligence Hubs in Tel Aviv Amid Escalating Tensions

4 hours ago 4

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran carried out an airstrike on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, targeting key Israeli intelligence centers in Tel Aviv, including the Aman military intelligence directorate and the Mossad intelligence agency.

In a statement, the IRGC said that Iranian Air Force fighter jets launched an "effective operation" early Tuesday morning, despite acknowledging Israel's "highly sophisticated air defense systems," according to Iranian media reports.

The IRGC stated that the attack was aimed at Israeli military headquarters in Aman and facilities linked to Mossad's alleged assassination operations.

Israel has not issued a direct confirmation regarding the reported targets.

Tensions in the region have sharply increased since Friday, following Israel’s coordinated airstrikes on multiple sites across Iran, including civilian housing as well as military and nuclear facilities. In response, Tehran launched a series of retaliatory strikes.

Israeli authorities reported that Iranian missile attacks since Friday have killed at least 24 people and injured hundreds more.

In contrast, Iranian officials stated that at least 224 people have died and more than 1,000 others have been injured in the Israeli attacks.
