TEMPO.COJakartaThe Indonesian National Police (Polri) has deployed its personnel to assist in handling flash floods and landslides that have occurred in Bali. They are tasked with evacuating the victims affected by the disaster.

Bali Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya stated that the police personnel have been mobilized to help evacuate the victims, including clearing roads blocked by landslides and regulating traffic flow to ensure unobstructed distribution of logistics aid. The police are also collaborating with the Indonesian National Defense Forces (TNI) and the Regional Disaster Management Agency to expedite the evacuation process.

"The police are committed to being present among the community, working in synergy with all agencies to ensure smooth evacuation and the needs of evacuees are met," Daniel said in a written statement on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) has recorded that nine people were found dead, two are missing, and a total of 202 families or 620 individuals have been affected by the Bali floods as of Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 6:45 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time). Head of Data, Information, and Disaster Communication Center of BNPB, Abdul Muhari, mentioned that the flood-affected areas include six regencies and cities, namely Denpasar City, Jembrana Regency, Gianyar Regency, Klungkung Regency, Badung Regency, and Tabanan Regency.

In Gianyar Regency, one person died, while one person died in Badung Regency. Klungkung Regency recorded 99 families or 420 individuals affected. "Meanwhile, Tabanan Regency is still in the process of data collection," Muhari said in a written statement on Wednesday.
