TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As Ramadan is set to kick off later this month, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi confirmed there is no scheduled cabinet reshuffle ahead of the Muslim fasting month.
According to Prasetyo, he has repeatedly dismissed rumors of Red and White cabinet reshuffle in the near future. "There will be no reshuffle," said the Gerindra Party politician at Gambir Station, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
Prasetyo said the Indonesian government is currently focused in ensuring the Ramadan activities run smoothly. Thus, no reshuffle is currently planned.
The government, he said, is trying to ease the economic burden of citizens during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, especially for those living in poverty and extreme poverty. "We are providing stimuli such as discounted train tickets, airfare, and ferry tickets, all solely to help alleviate people's [burden]," he said, adding that the measure is also aimed at boosting economic growth.
Additionally, Prasetyo said the Indonesian government is working to ensure road safety before the Eid holidays, especially with the number of potholes on the roads which could trigger accidents.
The issue of reshuffle had previously been denied by the cabinet members of President Prabowo Subianto. Minister of Human Rights Natalius Pigai asked the media not to discuss the issue, which he deemed was fabricated and sensationalized by the media and social media.
Pigai believed that President Prabowo has no plan to reshuflled the cabinet, as State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi already denied it.
"Meaning, it is not likely to happen, because this concerns the integrity of the statement," he said earlier this month in Jakarta, while urging journalists not to spread the narrative.
According to Pigai, dismissing Prasetyo Hadi's statement equals disrespecting information conveyed by the Palace, albeit admitting he had no knowledge about the reshuffle issue.
