TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian contingent added 12 gold, 10 silver, and 13 bronze medals on the sixth day of the SEA Games 2025 on Sunday, December 14. The Red and White Team has further solidified its second place position in the medal standings of this Southeast Asian sporting event.
As reported by Antara, the Indonesian badminton team contributed two gold medals from the men's singles event through Alwi Farhan's victory over compatriot Moh Zaki Ubaidillah. The gold medals were also achieved by the men's doubles team, Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani. In addition, the women's doubles team Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari also contributed a bronze medal.
Wushu athlete Edgar Xavier Marvelo secured a gold in the combined event of Chang Quan, Dao Shu, and Gunshu. This gold medal was a sweet conclusion to Indonesia's final appearance at the SEA Games.
Additional gold medals were also obtained by the road race cycling team and the men's 10-meter air pistol shooting team at the SEA Games 2025. Athletics was also a major contributor to Indonesia's gold medals at the SEA Games 2025. Race walker Hendro Yap once again demonstrated his dominance in Southeast Asia with a gold medal.
Long-distance runner Robi Syianturi also won a gold medal in the marathon event. Meanwhile, Odekta Elvina Naibaho made history by clinching a hat-trick of gold medals in the women's marathon at the SEA Games 2025.
These additional medals have brought the Red and White contingent's total to 43 gold, 56 silver, and 53 bronze, for a grand total of 152 medals. Indonesia remains solidly in second place, while Vietnam, trailing behind, is in third place with 34 gold, 34 silver, and 66 bronze medals.
The top position in the standings is still held by the host country, Thailand, with 132 gold, 78 silver, and 47 bronze, totaling 257 medals.
