TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - K-pop supergroup BTS is set to stage a live comeback concert in Seoul, South Korea, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, marking the group’s first full performance after all members complete their mandatory military service.
The concert, titled “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG,” will be held free of charge as a gesture of appreciation to fans, known as ARMY.
According to The Chosun Daily, the event will take place at Gwanghwamun Square, one of Seoul’s most iconic public spaces. Organizers expect tens of thousands of fans to attend. A total of 34,000 seats will be available, including 17,000 main seats in front of the stage and surrounding areas, and 17,000 additional side seats.
In an official statement, organizers described the concert as a landmark moment for the K-pop industry in 2026.
“This concert aims to bring the energy of K-pop back to the heart of Seoul on a scale never seen before,” the statement said.
Ticket Reservations and Anti-Scalping Measures
Although the event is free, fans must secure tickets through an official reservation system due to anticipated high demand.
According to Korea JoongAng Daily, ticket reservations will open on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 08:00 PM KST via the NOL Ticket platform.
Organizers said strict verification procedures will be implemented to prevent scalping and unauthorized resale.
“We will enforce a rigorous verification system to ensure tickets are obtained directly by genuine fans and to prevent resale at inflated prices,” they said.
Registration through Weverse Global will also be available for ARMY members. A lottery draw will be held among Weverse users who purchase BTS’s fifth studio album during the registration period.
Global Broadcast and Documentary Release
In addition to the live event, the concert will be broadcast globally, allowing international fans to join the celebration.
Streaming platform Netflix will exclusively air “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG” on March 21, 2026, at 06:00 PM WIB (Western Indonesia Time).
Netflix will also release a feature-length documentary, “BTS: THE RETURN,” on March 27, 2026. The film will chronicle the group’s comeback journey and offer behind-the-scenes footage of the production of their latest album.
The concert is widely seen as signaling a new chapter for BTS and the broader South Korean entertainment industry.
