TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The final journey to Arrakis is shaping up to be a powerful one, as character posters for Dune 3 have officially been unveiled.
Leading man Timothée Chalamet sparked the excitement by sharing the first look at Paul Atreides, followed quickly by the film’s official Instagram account, which released the full lineup featuring both beloved icons and fresh faces.
Chalamet’s Atreides appears significantly weathered in this new chapter, marked by deep-set wrinkles and visible red scarring. He is joined by a returning ensemble that includes Zendaya as Chani, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, and Javier Bardem as Stilgar. Most notably, Jason Momoa is set to reprise his role as Duncan Idaho following his absence in Part Two.
The sequel also introduces a wave of high-profile additions. Robert Pattinson is reportedly joining the fray as the new antagonist, Scytale, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Meanwhile, Anya Taylor-Joy is set to portray Paul’s younger sister, Alia, alongside Isaach de Bankolé as Farok.
The filming for Dune 3 concluded last summer, as reported by Deadline Hollywood, with the story picking up Paul’s journey adapted from the novel Dune Messiah by Frank Herbert.Denis Villeneuve returns to the director’s chair for the film, which is slated for a theatrical release on December 18, 2026.
Collectively, the Dune franchise has earned around $1.1 billion at the global box office. Beyond its commercial success, the series has also received widespread critical acclaim, securing eight Academy Awards from 15 nominations, including Best Picture recognition, as noted by Deadline.
