TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has once again been recognized as the safest city in the world for nine consecutive years, based on the latest data from the 2025 Crime Index released by Numbeo. The city achieved an impressive crime index score of 11.2 and a safety index of 88.8, solidifying its global benchmark.

According to The Times of India, Abu Dhabi's consistent recognition for its safety is a direct result of long-term policy decisions, significant technological investments, and strategic law enforcement initiatives.

A high safety index profoundly impacts the quality of life for residents, affording them the freedom to navigate the city without fear. This is particularly vital for women, families, and the elderly, for whom personal safety is a paramount concern.

For international businesses and investors, Abu Dhabi's robust security record significantly enhances its appeal as a destination for global conferences, multinational headquarters, and investment hubs. The tourism sector also benefits immensely, as visitors increasingly opt for a safer urban environment for both leisure and business travel.

Abu Dhabi's tourism has experienced substantial growth in recent years. In 2024, the emirate welcomed over 4.8 million visitors, marking a 26 percent increase from 2023.

Spring, fall, and winter are generally considered the most favorable seasons to visit Abu Dhabi due to pleasant temperatures, while summer can see temperatures soar up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

However, budget-conscious travelers may find attractive deals between June and September. "The winter months—December to April—are the best times to visit for the most pleasant weather," advised Mo Noubani, Director at Travel Box International.
