TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has released a weather forecast for the Jakarta area today, Friday, October 31, 2025. BMKG noted that the entire Jakarta area will be showered with light rain accompanied by thunder.
According to data from the bmkg.go.id website, two areas in Jakarta—South Jakarta and East Jakarta—will experience rain accompanied by thunder, with humidity levels ranging from 72 to 99 percent. Meanwhile, the Central, West, North Jakarta, and Thousand Islands Regency will experience light rain with humidity levels ranging from 73 to 97 percent.
The following sub-districts in East Jakarta will experience thunderstorms: Jatinegara, Kramat Jati, Pasar Rebo, Duren Sawit, Makasar, Ciracas, and Cipayung. Three other sub-districts have the potential for light rain.
Sub-districts in South Jakarta that will be showered with rain accompanied by thunder include Tebet, Setiabudi, Jagakarsa, Mampang Prapatan, Pasar Minggu, Kebayoran Lama, Kebayoran Baru, Cilandak, and Pancoran. Meanwhile, the Pesanggrahan district is only expected to experience moderate rain.
According to BMKG's forecast, rain will fall in the Jakarta area from 10:00 to 13:00 WIB (Western Indonesia Time), with air temperatures ranging from 28 to 30 degrees Celsius and wind speeds of 4 kilometers per hour.
