TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - BTS’ title track “Swim” from the fifth studio album “Arirang” has set a new record by topping the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for eight consecutive weeks.
With this achievement, the global superstars have matched their own record set by “Dynamite” in 2020, which also spent eight weeks at No. 1.
Aside from tying their own milestone, BTS now boasts eight No. 1 hits on the chart—twice as many as fellow global stars BLACKPINK, Bad Bunny, and Taylor Swift, each of whom has four chart-toppers. The achievement also saw BTS surpass Taylor Swift to become the artist with the most No. 1s on the chart this year.

Since debuting atop the chart in April, “Swim” has amassed 41.8 million streams and sold 2,000 units outside the United States during the May 22–28 tracking week. According to Chosun and Asiae, the hit also ranked No. 16 on Adult Contemporary, No. 12 on Pop Airplay, No. 17 on Adult Pop Airplay, and No. 26 on Radio Songs.
Even more remarkably, BTS’ success extends beyond the title track, as all 13 songs from “Arirang” have remained on the charts for nine consecutive weeks.
The album itself has been equally impressive, holding steady at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 for nine consecutive weeks. It also ranked No. 4 on Top Album Sales, No. 17 on Top Streaming Albums, and No. 13 on Vinyl Albums.
