Antam Gold Prices Fall Rp260,000 per Gram on January 31

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The price of gold bars produced by state-owned miner PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) fell sharply on Saturday, January 31, 2026, marking the steepest daily decline in nearly two years.

According to Antam’s official Logam Mulia website, the price dropped by Rp260,000 to Rp2,860,000 per gram. The buyback price also plunged, falling by Rp285,000 to Rp2,654,000 per gram from Rp2,939,000 previously.

The decline pushed Antam gold prices to their lowest level since January 22, 2026. The Rp260,000 per gram fall represents the largest single-day correction in the past two years, surpassing the previous record drop of Rp177,000 recorded on October 22, 2025.

  • 0.5 gram: Rp1,480,000

  • 1 gram: Rp2,860,000

  • 2 grams: Rp5,660,000

  • 3 grams: Rp8,465,000

  • 5 grams: Rp14,075,000

  • 10 grams: Rp28,095,000

  • 25 grams: Rp70,112,000

  • 50 grams: Rp140,145,000

  • 100 grams: Rp280,212,000

  • 250 grams: Rp700,265,000

  • 500 grams: Rp1,400,320,000

  • 1,000 grams: Rp2,800,600,000

Gold transactions in Indonesia are subject to taxation. Gold buyback transactions at PT Antam Tbk valued above Rp10 million are subject to Income Tax (PPh) Article 22 at a rate of 1.5 percent for taxpayers with a Tax Identification Number (NPWP) and 3 percent for those without. The tax is deducted directly from the total buyback value.

Gold purchases are also subject to PPh Article 22 under Finance Minister Regulation No. 34/PMK.10/2017, with tax rates set at 0.45 percent for NPWP holders and 0.9 percent for non-NPWP holders. Each transaction is accompanied by proof of tax withholding.
