TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Transnusa Aviation Mandiri (Transnusa) now serves the Jakarta-Bangkok route. The inaugural flight began operations on Thursday, August 6, 2026. Transnusa Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Bernard Francis stated that the Jakarta-Bangkok service is available twice daily.
Datuk Bernard is optimistic that the new flight route will strengthen connectivity between Indonesia and Thailand and open broader access to the international flight network via Bangkok.
"By offering two daily flights between Jakarta and Bangkok, we aim to provide greater flexibility to our customers while strengthening connectivity between Indonesia and Thailand," said Datuk Bernard in a press release on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
All flights are served through Suvarnabhumi Airport, Thailand's main international airport. As part of the launch of the Jakarta-Bangkok route, Datuk Bernard said, Transnusa is offering fares starting from Rp2,799,000 one-way. He hopes this offer will provide more travel options for tourists and business travelers between Indonesia and Thailand.
So far, Transnusa has served several international routes. In addition to Thailand, the airline operates flights to Singapore, Malaysia, China, and Australia.
Transnusa is targeting a 75 percent passenger occupancy rate for its Jakarta-Bangkok route within the first two months of operation. "We are optimistic that this figure will increase to 80 percent as market demand grows," said Datuk Bernard.
He also stated that the successful operation of the Jakarta-Bangkok route laid the foundation for Transnusa's future international expansion. Transnusa plans to launch a direct flight from Bali to Phuket on September 9, 2026.
Datuk Bernard said that opening the route was part of a strategy to strengthen regional aviation and provide customers in the Southeast Asian region with more travel options.

TransNusa Requested to Increase Kupang-Dili Flights
