TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia’s Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform, Rini Widyantini, said a government regulation on the 2026 Eid al-Fitr allowance (THR) for civil servants is ready to be issued.
She stated that details, including the amount of the allowance and the disbursement schedule, will be announced directly by President Prabowo Subianto in the near future.
“It’s already prepared. Just wait for the announcement from the President,” Rini said at her ministry’s office in Jakarta on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
Payment Scheme
During last year’s Ramadan, the disbursement of the Eid allowance and the so-called 13th salary was regulated under Government Regulation No. 11 of 2025. Under that policy, state officials received payments comprising their basic salary, fixed allowances, and a 100 percent performance allowance.
Regional civil servants received the same components, adjusted to the fiscal capacity of their respective local governments. Retirees were granted an amount equivalent to one month’s pension.
Disbursement Timeline
Previously, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said the Eid allowance would be disbursed in the first week of Ramadan. However, he later noted that the official announcement would wait until President Prabowo returns from an overseas trip.
The president has been on a series of foreign visits since February 16, 2026.
“Once the president returns, perhaps he will announce it. It’s still in process, but the funds are ready,” Purbaya said during a press conference on the state budget on Monday, February 23, 2026.
The government has allocated Rp 55 trillion (approximately US$3.5 billion) for this year’s Eid allowance for civil servants, members of the National Armed Forces (TNI), and National Police personnel, up from Rp49.4 trillion last year.
