TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto will attend the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) 100th anniversary (Mujahadah Kubro Satu Abad) at Gajayana Stadium in Malang, East Java, on Sunday, February 8, 2026. Prabowo departed from Jakarta to East Java on Saturday evening, 7th February 2026.
According to the Presidential Secretariat, Prabowo and his entourage were seen off by the Commander of the Jakarta Military Regional Command (Pangdam Jaya) Major General Deddy Suryadi; the Chief of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Kapolda Metro Jaya) Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri; and the Commander of the Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase (Danlanud Halim Perdanakusuma) First Marshal Erwin Sugiandi.
The Head of State and his limited entourage took off from the Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase of the Indonesian National Air Force, Jakarta, at around 5:30 PM local time.
During the flight, Prabowo was accompanied by the Chair of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Muzani, the State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, the Foreign Minister Sugiono, the Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, the Head of the Government Communication Bureau Angga Raka Prabowo, and the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono.
Upon arrival in East Java on Saturday night, Prabowo held several meetings. On Sunday, Prabowo is scheduled to attend the Mujahadah Kubro Satu Abad event organized by the East Java Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU). More than 100,000 worshipers are expected to attend the celebration.
Mujahadah Kubro is described as a symbol of strength and a reflection of NU's commitment to becoming the nation's social and religious backbone. "The President's presence on this occasion is a symbol of the state's presence in strengthening the synergy between the government and the ulama in maintaining social stability, and promoting the nation's progress amidst global challenges," as stated in the Presidential Secretariat's press release.
