TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Marina Budiman has become Indonesia's richest woman according to Forbes, with a total wealth reaching around US$5.3 billion or approximately Rp87.8 trillion, assuming an exchange rate of Rp16,571 per US dollar.
According to the Forbes Real Time Billionaires list, Marina Budiman is ranked 654th globally as of March 30, 2025. In Indonesia, she holds the seventh position out of the top ten richest people in Indonesia, after Low Tuck Kwong, Budi Hartono, Michael Hartono, Prajogo Pangestu, Sri Prakash Lohia, and Otto Toto Sugiri.
As reported by Forbes, Marina Budiman is one of the founders and the president commissioner of the data center company DCI Indonesia. She established DCI in 2011 along with Otto Toto Sugiri and Han Arming Hanafia.
Previously, Marina joined Sigma Cipta Caraka in 1989 after working with Toto Sugiri at Bank Bali in 1985. She also served as the Co-Founder of Indonet, the first internet service provider in Indonesia in 1994.
Marina then founded Indonet, Indonesia's first Internet service provider, in 1994. She and the other founders sold their shares in 2023.
