TEMPO.COJakarta - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) re-questioned Nadiem Makarim as a suspect in the Chromebook procurement corruption case on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. The prosecutors questioned Nadiem for 10 hours and 30 minutes at the Attorney General's Office building. "The questioning process today went smoothly. I am confident that the truth will be revealed in this time period," Nadiem said after the questioning at the Attorney General's Office on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Nadiem Makarim appeared weary when arriving and leaving the Attorney General's Office building. He left at 10:00 PM. "I express my gratitude, please support and pray for me." Previously, Nadiem had been hospitalized in a government hospital for a hemorrhoid operation.

The former Minister of Education is embroiled in the Chromebook procurement corruption case. The prosecutors accused Nadiem of reaching an agreement with Google before the procurement took place. According to the prosecutors, the agreement took place in February and April 2020. Then the procurement of the Chromebook was decided at a zoom meeting on May 6, 2020. In that meeting, Nadiem is said to have given instructions to four other suspects.

The Chrombook is a product of Google. The Attorney General's Office has also questioned Google in this case. They are investigating whether Google's investment in Nadiem's company, Gojek, is related to the selection of Chromebook over other products.

The office of PT Goto Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) has also been searched by the Attorney General's Office. They interviewed several GoTo officials. However, up to now, the Prosecutors have not disclosed the profits obtained by each suspect. It is estimated that this case has caused state losses of up to Rp1.9 trillion from the total procurement of 1.2 million units of Chromebook.
