TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa visited the Investment Management Agency Danantara to follow up on Coretax system complaints. He shared details of this visit through his official TikTok account, @purbayayudhis, on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
In the video, Purbaya stated that the visit followed complaints from Danantara management. Specifically, Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Pandu Sjahrir reported several obstacles while using the Coretax system.
"This afternoon, I came to the Danantara office. I received complaints from Pak Pandu about some issues in the Coretax system," said Purbaya.
He mentioned that he arrived with the information technology team from the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) and representatives from the tax office to examine the problems on-site.
"I came directly to the Danantara office. I also brought the IT team from the tax office and from the Directorate General of Taxation," he said.
According to Purbaya, the Coretax system shows improvements, although several issues require fixing. "Coretax is heading in a better direction. There are still shortcomings, but it is continuously improving," he said.
Previously, the DJP noted that initial progress for reporting 2025 Annual Income Tax Returns has increased. By January 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. WIB, the number of submitted returns reached 126,796.
The DJP also reported progress on Coretax account activation. By the same deadline, a total of 11,867,729 taxpayers had activated their Coretax DJP accounts.
Of this total, individual taxpayers dominated with 10,948,809 accounts. Meanwhile, corporate taxpayers who activated Coretax accounts were recorded at 829,995.
