Indonesia's Joyland Festival 2025 Reimagined as Joyland Sessions, Featuring Global Acts

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - This year’s Joyland Festival will take on a different format. Instead of the usual three-day festival, the event will return as Joyland Sessions, held at Senayan, Central Jakarta, on November 29–30, 2025.

Promoter Plainsong Live confirmed that the original Joyland Festival, scheduled for November 28–30, has been canceled. Ticket holders for the canceled festival will receive full refunds.

Joyland Sessions will present an international lineup that includes TV Girl, L’Imperatrice, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Soccer Mommy, Luna Li, and Oddisee & Good Compny. They will be joined by Indonesian performers such as Ali, Bernadya, Galdive, Jirapah, Reality Club, The Cottons, and Thee Marloes.

In an Instagram post via @joylandfest and @joylandchapters, organizers explained the change in format. “We hear you. We’ve felt your love, your energy, and how much this gathering means. And while Joyland can’t return in its fullest form just yet, we couldn’t let the year pass without creating something to bring us back together,” the statement read.

The organizers emphasized that this year’s edition will be more intimate, with fewer musicians and smaller-scale programming compared to past festivals. “So we’ve built a smaller space — still Joyland at heart — where we can meet, share music, and keep the magic alive until the festival returns,” they added.

Ticket sales for Joyland Sessions opened on September 17, 2025, at 12:00 PM WIB through joylandfest.com. A two-day pass is priced at Rp1,088,000, excluding tax, and will be available until November 29, 2025, at 08:00 PM WIB.

As of publication, more than a thousand people were already in the online queue at loket.com, with an estimated 12-minute wait to access the ticketing page.

Previously, Joyland had sold “Blind Tickets” for the original full-format festival but has since refunded those purchases. Fans who wish to attend Joyland Sessions will need to buy new tickets.
