TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Capital City of Nusantara (IKN) Authority has partnered with Ayedh Dejem Group, a construction and development company from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) specializing in infrastructure and real estate, to develop a mixed-use area in the new capital.
The agreement was formalized through a collaboration signing between the Deputy of Financing and Investment of IKN Authority, Sudiro Roi Santoso, and the Chair of Ayedh Dejem Group on Friday, January 23, 2026.
“The estimated investment value is around Rp4 trillion, which will begin with detailed planning, followed by the licensing process and contractor auction within approximately one and a half years from the date of the agreement,” Sudiro said in an official statement, as quoted on Monday, January 26, 2026.
The project will utilize 9.7 hectares of land in the Core Area of Government Center (KIPP) 1A, adjacent to Plaza Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.
Ayedh Dejem Group plans to develop office complexes, commercial areas, a shopping mall, and a mosque at the site.
Physical construction is scheduled to begin in mid-2027, with the development projected to continue for up to five years.
Sheikh Ayedh Dejem, Chairman of Ayedh Dejem Group, explained the company’s investment rationale.
“Considering Indonesia’s large population and market size, along with our position in Dubai, one of the world’s top 20 economies, we are very optimistic about significant growth in real estate development in the Archipelago,” he said.
