TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Fasting while flying presents unique challenges, from managing iftar timings to ensuring meal quality during long-haul transits. A US-based service company, AirAdvisor, has released its ranking of the top 10 airlines for Ramadan travel in 2026.

Whether you are traveling for Umrah, visiting family, or flying for business, these best airlines for fasting travelers stand out for their punctuality, meal timing, and cultural sensitivity.

1. Oman Air (9.2/10)

Taking the top spot, Oman Air excels with a near-perfect punctuality record. With a delay rate of just 0.43 percent and zero late-night disruptions during the evaluation period, it remains the most reliable choice for those needing precise arrival times for suhoor or iftar.

Additionally, Oman Air provides guaranteed halal meals. Its operational consistency during sunset hours significantly strengthens its position.

2. Garuda Indonesia (8.8/10)

Indonesia’s national carrier, Garuda Indonesia, secures second place through its exceptional balance of operational efficiency and cultural sensitivity during the holy month. The airline is highly praised for its guaranteed onboard halal access and high passenger satisfaction ratings (4/5 stars).

3. Etihad Airways (8.45/10)

Etihad Airways remains a favorite for its consistent and complimentary Ramadan meal services. With a low delay rate of under 1 percent, it provides the reliability required for stress-free spiritual travel.

Etihad also offers complimentary Ramadan meals on many long-distance routes.

AirAdvisor evaluated 15 international airlines in Muslim-majority countries. "Ramadan travel adds another layer of complexity to flying, especially on long-haul routes," said Anton Radchenko, passenger rights advocate and founder of AirAdvisor, as reported by the Oman Observer on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Traveling during Ramadan requires more thorough planning than regular flights. Airline punctuality is crucial, and passengers should verify performance before booking. Travelers should also consider whether an airline offers structured Ramadan services tailored to their needs.

In addition to the top 3 airlines, Qatar Airways provides iftar and suhoor meals with clear timings across its long-haul network. Saudia Airlines, known for extensive service coverage, has built a system specifically to support fasting passengers. Other airlines may not provide specific iftar and suhoor meals automatically, but they can accommodate requests made 48 to 72 hours in advance.
