1. New Epstein Files Reveal Trump's Jet Trips with Maxwell
Several new files released on Tuesday contain numerous references to the President of the United States (US), Donald Trump. According to Al Jazeera, these include documents detailing his flights on Epstein's private jet.
Trump, 79, flew on Jeffrey Epstein's private jet, a convicted sex offender, "many more times than previously has been reported." This is according to an email from a New York prosecutor as part of a new collection of Epstein documents.
In an email dated January 7, 2020, an unnamed prosecutor wrote that flight records show Trump had flown on Epstein's private jet eight times during the 1990s. Among these flights, at least four included Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's associate.
Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence for aiding the late Epstein in sexually abusing underage girls. Maxwell, Epstein's former girlfriend, remains the only person convicted in connection with his crimes.
2. Thailand Says It Will Not Be Pressured in ASEAN Border Talks with Cambodia
Thailand has asserted that it will not be "pressured or disadvantaged" during the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ meeting on Monday, December 22, 2025, in Malaysia, where officials are set to discuss the ongoing border conflict with Cambodia.
Maratee Nalita Andamo, deputy spokesperson for Thailand’s Foreign Ministry, said Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow will lead the delegation to Malaysia, according to local news site The Nation.
"Thailand’s stance remains clear: the country seeks peace and does not pose a threat or encroach upon the sovereignty of other nations. Thailand has consistently expressed its desire for lasting peace, and Cambodia must demonstrate sincerity in this matter," Maratee said on Saturday, December 20.
She outlined three key conditions Thailand intends to present to Cambodia before agreeing to a ceasefire.
3. 93S Tropical Cyclone Seed Forecast to Intensify into Storm off Indonesia This Evening
Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts that the 93S tropical cyclone seed will develop into a permanent storm on Sunday evening, December 22, 2025.
The center of its wind rotation is currently located in the waters southwest of West Java in the Indonesian Ocean.
The system’s maximum wind speed has been observed at 35 knots, or 65 kilometers per hour. Based on satellite images over the past 12 hours, BMKG weather forecaster Rika Kariani noted that convective activity fluctuated overnight, decreasing before strengthening again from early dawn into the morning.
“It strengthened again from early dawn until morning,” she said in a written statement on Sunday, December 21, 2025.
Rika explained that the 93S tropical cyclone seed is supported by a low-frequency area, active Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) waves in both the northern and southern hemispheres, and warm sea surface temperatures ranging from 28 to 29 degrees Celsius. After a temporary decrease in intensity, the system is now slowly showing signs of strengthening.
