1. Hilton Kathmandu: What to Know About the Luxury Hotel Burned Down in Nepal
The Hilton Kathmandu, a symbol of luxury in Nepal and a pride of the capital, now only stands as black ashes after being engulfed in flames during the wave of Gen Z protests in Nepal. The tallest hotel in the Himalayan nation was reduced to rubble, burned on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, by demonstrators protesting against the Nepalese government. Drone footage on Wednesday night showed smoke still billowing from the charred infrastructure.

2. Indonesia Returns 14 Containers of Philippine Imports Over Radioactive Findings
The Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs, Zulkifli Hasan, revealed that 9 out of 14 containers of imported goods from the Philippines were found to be exposed to cesium-137 (Cs-137) radioactivity. However, all 14 containers of imported goods were subsequently re-exported to the Philippines. "These will be sent back soon," said Zulkifli at Graha Mandiri, Central Jakarta, on Friday, September 12, 2025.

3. Indonesian Govt Seals PT PMT, Cites Suspected Link to Radioactive Frozen Shrimp at BMS Foods
Indonesian Minister of Agriculture Zulkifli Hasan, revealed that the PT Peter Metal Technology (PMT) factory in the Cikande industrial area, Serang, Banten, which is suspected to be the source of radioactive contamination on frozen shrimp processed by PT Bahari Makmur Sejati (BMS Foods), has been localized. "PT PMT has been localized," he said at Graha Mandiri, Central Jakarta, on Friday, September 12, 2025.
Zulkifli said that the frozen shrimp produced by BMS Foods is suspected to be contaminated due to PT PMT's production activities. In addition to shutting down the factory suspected of emitting radioactivity, the government will soon conduct decontamination in the affected area.
