TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, the Kremlin denied United States President Donald Trump's accusation that the leaders of Russia, China, and North Korea were conspiring against Washington amidst the grand parade held in Tiananmen Square, Beijing.
"I want to say that no one was plotting (against the US), no one was weaving anything, no conspiracies. Moreover, no one even had this in their thoughts, none of these three leaders had it," said the aide to the President of Russia, Yuri Ushakov, to Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin in an interview shared on his Telegram account, as reported by Anadolu and TASS.
Ushakov's statement emerged after a grand parade organized by China to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Japan's defeat in World War II. The commemoration was attended by several foreign leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Beijing officially refers to the period of 1937-1945 as the "War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression" and considers it an important part of the broader "Anti-Fascist World War."
"In addition, I can say that everyone understands what role the United States, the current administration of President Trump and President Trump personally play in the current international situation," said Ushakov, adding that he regarded Trump's statement as "not without irony."
The day before, Trump accused Putin, Xi, and Kim of conspiring against the U.S. in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social.
He noted that many Americans had fallen in the struggle for China to achieve victory in World War II. The 79-year-old Trump expressed his hope that their courage and sacrifice would be "rightfully Honored and Remembered."
