TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has sent letters to the five ministers that he replaced last week. The special letters were conveyed through the Cabinet Secretary, Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya.
"Meeting with the five ministers of the Red and White Cabinet who have completed their duties. This meeting is an opportunity for networking and to deliver a special letter from President Prabowo Subianto," Teddy wrote in the caption on the official Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet, quoted on Monday, September 15, 2025.
There is one coordinating minister and four ministers replaced by Prabowo in the recent cabinet reshuffle. The coordinating ministers and the ministers who were replaced are Budi Gunawan from the position of Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security; Budi Arie Setiadi from the position of Minister of Cooperatives; Ario Bimo Nandito Ariotedjo or Dito Ariotedjo from the Minister of Youth and Sports position; Sri Mulyani Indrawati from the position of Minister of Finance; and Abdul Kadir Karding from the position of Minister of Migrant Worker Protection (P2MI).
In that post, Teddy also uploaded a series of collages with the former ministers. He mentioned that the special letters were directly composed by the Head of State. "As an expression of gratitude for the dedication and great contribution of the ministers to the country during their tenure as part of the Red and White Cabinet family," he said.
On Monday, September 8, 2025, Prabowo reshuffled his cabinet. After removing five ministers, Prabowo immediately inaugurated their replacements. They are Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa as Minister of Finance; Mukhtarudin as Minister of P2MI; and Ferry Juliantono as Minister of Cooperatives. The President also inaugurated the Minister and Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Mochamad Irfan Yusuf-Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak. On that day, Prabowo had not yet inaugurated the new Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law, and Security (Menko Polkam) and the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora). Later, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin was appointed to temporarily fill the position of Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law, and Security or ad interim.
