TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The director of Indonesian event organizer PT Melani Citra Permata (Mecimapro), Fransiska Dwi Melani, has been named a suspect in an alleged embezzlement case involving investor funds for the K-pop group TWICE’s concert held in Jakarta in December 2023.
A spokesperson for the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Reonald Simanjuntak, confirmed the development.
“The case is still in its early stages, and the case file is currently being reviewed by prosecutors,” Reonald said on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
The case was reported to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police by PT Media Inspirasi Bangsa (MIB) on January 10, 2025.
According to MIB’s legal representative, Aldi Rizki, the company had partnered with PT Mecimapro to co-organize the TWICE concert in Jakarta. However, the financial agreement between the two firms allegedly broke down, leading to the current dispute.
PT Mecimapro allegedly misused and embezzled the investment funds provided by PT MIB.
“As a result of this act, our client suffered financial losses amounting to tens of billions of rupiah,” Aldi said in a written statement on Thursday.
According to Aldi, the police officially named Mecimapro’s director Fransiska Dwi Melani as a suspect in September 2025. “We appreciate the swift and responsive action taken by investigators in handling this case,” he added.
Aldi expressed hope that the legal process will continue professionally and transparently. He also called on the public to respect the investigation and avoid spreading misleading opinions.
