TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The central government has set December 24, 2025, as the deadline for regional governments to announce their minimum wage. Several regions have already declared their Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) for 2026. These figures vary across the country and follow Government Regulation Number 49 of 2025 concerning Wages.

Minister of Manpower Yassierli previously shared the announcement timeline. He guaranteed that the 2026 UMP will increase in all Indonesian regions, even those experiencing negative economic growth.

Several provinces have already revealed their new UMP rates. Most recently, Riau Province increased its minimum wage by Rp271,719.63. Meanwhile, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo confirmed his administration will announce the capital's UMP on December 24.
