TEMPO.CO, Jakarta PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) plans to inaugurate Jatake Train Station on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. "Overall, KCI's tasks have been completed, meaning we have prepared as best as possible," said PT KCI President Director Mochamad Purnomosidi at a press conference in Jakarta on Monday, January 26, 2026.

According to Purnowo, several aspects of readiness include the availability of officers and train drivers, ticketing, signage, and arrival and departure time lists. Jatake Station, located between Jatake and Kadusirung Villages, Pagedangan District, Tangerang Regency, is scheduled to open this month.

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) President Director Bobby Rasyidin said the new train station will expand public transportation services in Jakarta's buffer zone. "Jatake Station was built to bring train services closer to the community in this rapidly developing area," said Bobby in a written statement on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

According to KAI data, Jatake Station was developed using the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) concept, which integrates transportation functions with regional activities. The station is built on a 2,435-square-meter plot of land, with a three-story building covering approximately 3,000 square meters.

It is located at kilometer 37+045 of the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung route. The Jatake Station platform is 250 meters long and 6 meters wide, and is projected to be able to serve up to 20,000 passengers per day. "Its presence is expected to strengthen regional connectivity and support more organized and efficient daily mobility," said Bobby.

KAI Vice President of Corporate Communications Anne Purba explained that Jatake Train Station's facilities are designed to comprehensively support the needs of Commuter Line users. The station building includes a passenger activity area, a commercial zone, and KAI office space. Meanwhile, the outdoor area is equipped with parking facilities for two-wheeled vehicles, four-wheeled vehicles, and bicycles, as well as a further development area of approximately 4,000 square meters.

Jatake Station will serve the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung Commuter Line, which covers Tanah Abang, Palmerah, Kebayoran, Pondok Ranji, Jurang Mangu, Sudimara, and Rawa Buntu. It will then serve Serpong, Cisauk, Cicayur, Jatake, Parung Panjang, Cilejit, Daru, Tenjo, Tigaraksa, Cikoya, Maja, Citeras, and Rangkasbitung.

"Jatake Station is projected to become a new service hub that will support smooth passenger boarding and alighting while also stimulating economic activity in the surrounding area," said Anne.
