TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police are probing all Lokataru Foundation staff as witnesses in the alleged incitement case against its director, Delpedro Marhaen. Twelve staff members have been interviewed thus far, including the security guard and interns working at Lokataru.
The Advocacy Team for Democracy (TAUD) "strongly suspects" that the police are unsure about the allegations against Delpedro and his associates. "Because the case's latest development is that all Lokataru staff and interns were probed," said TAUD representative Muhammad Fadhil Alfathan when contacted on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
The police will also probe one of TAUD's legal advisors who assisted Delpedro and his associates today. "Investigators also interviewed an individual with no ties to Lokataru, namely Iqbal Ramadhan, who is actually Delpedro Marhaen's legal representative," said Fadhil.
The summons for Iqbal numbered S.Pgl/S-5/7606/IX/2025/Ditreskrimum/Polda Metro Jaya, was received directly by him at the Jakarta Metro Police headquarters on September 12. At that time, he was accompanying the questioning of one of the Lokataru staff.
The police arrested Delpedro Marhaen and five others on charges of provoking violence during the demonstrations on August 25 and 28, 2025. They are accused of instigating the masses to act riotously during the protest.
One of the posts used as evidence by the police belongs to the @lokataru_foundation account. The post contains a photo with information about a complaint center for students who want to participate in the demonstration on August 28, 2025.
The photo is captioned "Are you a student? Want to join the protest? Already protested? Threatened with sanctions? Or already sanctioned? Let's fight together! #jangantakut (#afraidnot)."
The post also includes a hotline number that students can contact to report the sanctions they received for participating in the protest.
The six suspects are charged with Article 160 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) and/or Article 45A paragraph 3 juncto Article 28 paragraph 3 of ITE Law and/or Article 76H juncto Article 15 juncto Article 87 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection.
