Hammersonic 2026 Announces Fresh Line-up as Several Bands Withdraw

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Several bands scheduled to perform at Hammersonic Festival 2026 at NICE PIK 2 on May 2-3, 2026, have canceled their appearances, prompting the organizer to adjust the performer line-up.

Ravel Entertainment explained that they had fought to maintain the line-up, but the world's geopolitical conditions resulting in numerous flight cancellations were beyond their control.

"To be honest, this is not the information I wanted to announce. I know many of you have been eagerly anticipating this moment, already planning and perhaps even imagining what it would be like to stand in the midst of the crowd," stated Ravel Junaidy in a written statement on Sunday, April 12, 2026.

Ravel understood the disappointment of hardcore music fans in the country, especially those who have purchased event tickets. He mentioned that Ravel Entertainment will do whatever they can to ensure that the audience goes home with a memorable experience.

"This is not the end of something; it is a challenge for us to strive to provide the best for all Hammerheads. And we hope that you will continue to stand by us," he added.

The first band announced to have to cancel their performance was My Chemical Romance in December 2025, despite initially being scheduled as the headliner. However, Ravel Entertainment replaced them with a solo concert at Jakarta International Stadium on November 22, 2026.

Subsequently, other bands were also announced to cancel their performances on April 12, namely The Story So Far and New Found Glory. Both bands conveyed apologies to their fans in Indonesia and stated that their cancellations were unrelated to the organizers or the festival.

Additionally, The Haunted also announced their cancellation to perform at Hammersonic 2026. The Swedish band cited flight delay issues as the reason. "Unfortunately, our show at Hammersonic has been cancelled due to a flight postponement," they wrote.

Line-up Update

Hammersonic promptly announced Dashboard Confessional, Ellegarden, and Malevolence to join the festival's performer line-up. On Monday, April 13, 2026, Ravel Entertainment also announced a new lineup of familiar bands to hardcore music enthusiasts such as the New Orleans-based grindcore band EYEHATEGOD, legendary New York City hardcore punk band Agnostic Front, and the Norwegian black metal unit Carpathian Forest.

Ravel Entertainment also adjusted the ticket prices, which were initially Rp1,099,000 and are now Rp550,000 for the 2-Day Pass (excluding tax), with only 2-Day Pass tickets being sold.

"For those of you who have already placed your trust in us and purchased tickets, we do not want that trust to be in vain. Therefore, we have decided that: 1 ticket purchased now applicable to 2 people," stated Ravel Entertainment.
