TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Businessman Elon Musk once again heated up the competition in artificial intelligence (AI) through his latest tweet on the X platform. The tech billionaire proudly displays the sophistication of Grok, an AI chatbot developed by his company, xAI.
The Tesla CEO claims that his language model has now surpassed the capabilities of three main competitors in the global market. In his tweet, Musk openly compares Grok's performance to that of ChatGPT from OpenAI, Claude from Anthropic, and Gemini from Google.
Musk also includes benchmark data showing Grok's dominance in various advanced testing. "Grok 4.20 is BASED. The only AI that doesn’t equivocate when asked if America is on stolen land. The others are weak sauce," Musk's post on X reads on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
As of Friday, February 20, 2026, the tweet has been reposted 22,000 times and liked by 167,000 accounts. Tempo observation shows Musk highlighting Grok's ability to answer questions about the United States. Grok is seen providing clear, detailed, and direct answers without filtering the requested information.
In contrast, responses from ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini appear much more cautious and limited by their respective security protocols. Grok's three competitors all respond with lengthy warnings about ethical guidelines, and some even refuse to answer specific questions.
Regarding AI Grok, Musk has often showcased its functionality lately. He frequently comments that Grok is designed to be bolder and less censored than its competitors. Musk's candid comparison of Grok to its competitors is what frequently brings the chatbot to the forefront of the X platform.
