TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Travelers planning a Bali vacation now have a new transportation alternative. State-owned bus operator Damri has opened a route from Jakarta to Denpasar, Bali, starting March 6, 2026. This fleet will travel via the Trans Java toll road.

This step offers a solution for tourists who wish to cross Java Island to reach Bali without the fatigue of driving. By utilizing Trans-Java toll road connectivity, travel time is projected to be more efficient.

Covering more than a thousand kilometers, Damri includes several features in the fleet to support passenger productivity and comfort. Users do not need to worry about gadget battery life, as power sockets are available at each seat. Security is also enhanced through the installation of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras inside the bus cabin.

Passengers also receive meal services. During a single journey, passengers will be provided with two meals.

Departure Schedule

Damri provides several departure points in Jakarta, including Kemayoran, Cawang, and Pulogebang Terminal. Additionally, the bus picks up passengers in transit cities such as Cirebon and Semarang to provide access for travelers from West Java and Central Java.

The operational schedule is arranged weekly. Departures from Jakarta are available every Friday at 4:00 p.m., while departures from Denpasar are available every Sunday at 4:00 p.m. This pattern is designed to accommodate long weekend travel trends in Bali.

The Jakarta-Bali Damri journey is available for Rp590,000. This price includes meal facilities. Tickets can be purchased online through the Damri App or the company's official website.
