TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecast heavy rain in most areas in Greater Jakarta this afternoon on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Similar to yesterday's weather, BMKG warns of the chance for localized thunderstorms and strong winds accompanying the rain.
Referring to the weather forecast issued by BMKG on late Wednesday, drizzles will cover South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and North Jakarta since morning. Rain also showers Depok City, Bekasi Regency and City, while heavier rain pours down on Bogor.
The rain is likely to subside in most of Greater Jakarta from 07.00 a.m. until midday, with clear and thick cloudy weather. From 01.00 p.m. to 07.00 p.m., light rain is expected to fall again in Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta.
Well into the evening, rain is expected to spread across Tangerang Regency, Bekasi Regency and City, and Depok City. At the same time, there is a chance for moderate rain in Bogor Regency and City.
The air humidity throughout the day is recorded at around 60-95 percent. The air temperature in Greater Jakarta is 24-32 degrees Celsius, except in Bogor, where it can drop to 20 degrees Celsius. The maximum wind speed can reach 19 kilometers per hour moving eastward.
