TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Microsoft has announced that the feature Copilot for Gaming is now available in the beta version of the Xbox app for Android and iOS. Xbox Senior Program Manager Taylor O'Malley described this feature as an AI that accompanies players during gaming.
"In this early version, beta testers can ask Copilot about any games, including the game they’re currently playing, or ask for help if they get stuck," Taylor said on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, on the official Xbox website.
This Copilot for Gaming is an AI chatbot that answers questions and provides advice about the game being played. For example, it can be asked to know the user's achievement score in playing a game.
Furthermore, this feature can also be used to ask for recommendations on what games to play at a certain time. Users can also inquire about the subscription history of a game. "You can type your prompts in chat or speak directly with Copilot using voice," said Taylor.
Taylor stated that the early preview of Copilot for Gaming is available in English for players over 18 years old. The feature is available in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, and other regions, including Indonesia. "We’ll be bringing new features like Copilot for Gaming to the community early and often," Taylor said.
Users can try Copilot for Gaming by downloading the Xbox beta app on the Google Play Store for Android and the App Store for iOS devices. In this beta version, Microsoft continues to develop more detailed personalization features and tools to help users in every game.
