1. Prabowo to Meet Capital Market Investors After Eid, Says Deputy House Speaker
President Prabowo Subianto will meet capital market investors after 2025 Eid al-Fitr, the deputy house speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad confirmed on Monday, March 31, 2025.
"The meeting with investors has been planned and will take place after Eid,” Dasco said in Jatinegara, East Jakarta on Monday, March 31, 2025.
Dasco also spoke about the recent stumble suffered by the Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG), expressing confidence that it will surge again after the Eid al-Fitr holiday. "I’m positive (IHSG) will rise again,” he said.
2. Jakarta's 'August' Named Among Best Restaurants in Asia; Here's the Complete List
The progressive Indian restaurant in Bangkok, Gaggan, was named Asia’s Best Restaurant at the 13th edition of the awards, held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in Seoul, South Korea.
This award marks the fifth time for Gaggan, which last year ranked third, to be crowned the best restaurant. The restaurant, located in the Wattana district, Bangkok, was only opened in 2019.
Gaggan Anand, the owner, reflected on the restaurant’s victory, claiming that he did not expect it would be “a gastronomic hub.”
“When we started the restaurant, it was not about me but about Asia,” Anand said, as quoted from Channel News Asia on Tuesday.
3. LRT Jabodebek Sees up to 45% Surge in Passengers During Eid Season
The Indonesian railway company, KAI, noted a surge in the number of LRT Jabodebek users at several integrated stations during the Eid al-Fitr holiday season this year.
The growth is said to reflect the role of LRT Jabodebek as a connector to other transportation services like the Commuter Line, MRT Jakarta, Whoosh high-speed rail, and intercity buses at the Kampung Rambutan Terminal.
The Executive Vice President of LRT Jabodebek, Mochamad Purnomosidi, believes that the surge reflects public trust in integrated public transport services.
