TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived at the Elysee Palace in Paris, France, on Thursday afternoon, May 28, 2026, local time. The state visit's reception was broadcast live on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube account.
President Prabowo was seen arriving in a white Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. Upon arrival at the Elysee Palace, the Head of State was welcomed by the Prime Minister of France, Sbastien Lecornu.
Prabowo appeared in a grey suit with a dark blue tie and a black cap. He wore sunglasses on his head.
Prabowo and Lecornu then walked together towards the front of the guard of honor. The national anthems of both countries were played. The president was seen showing respect during the rendition of "Indonesia Raya" and "La Marseillaise."
Afterwards, Prabowo and Lecornu were seen walking towards their respective country's delegations. Prabowo then introduced the officials from the Red and White Cabinet who accompanied him on this visit. Those present included Foreign Minister Sugiono, Chief Executive Officer of the Danantara Investment Management Agency Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Cabinet Secretary TNI Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya, and the Indonesian Ambassador to France, Mohamad Oemar. In addition to the officials, Prabowo's son, Ragowo Hediprasetyo Djojohadikusumo also known as Didit, was also seen.
Earlier, Prabowo arrived in Paris on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. He landed at Orly Airport in Paris, the French Republic, around 09:50 local time. Prabowo's visit this time coincides with the moment of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri.
One day after his arrival, the head of state performed the Eid al-Adha prayer at the Indonesian Residence, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the capital of the country.
