TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Military Court II-08 is scheduled to hold its first hearing today, Wednesday, to read the indictment in the alleged acid attack case against Andrie Yunus, an activist from the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS).
"Yes, there are no changes to the trial schedule," said Endah Wulandari, spokesperson for the Jakarta Military Court II-08, when confirmed in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
According to the Jakarta Military Court II-08's Case Tracking Information System (SIPP) website, the trial is a criminal offense against the body intentionally or through negligence, with case number 70-K/PM.II-08/AL/IV/2026.
The first hearing is scheduled for around 10:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB) in the Garuda Courtroom, the main courtroom.
The defendants will be present in person in the courtroom.
Endah guarantees that the trial will be conducted professionally, independently, impartially, transparently, and accountably.
"At 10:00 a.m. WIB, the defendants were present in court," said Endah.
The trial was the initial stage in the legal process for the defendants suspected of involvement in the assault on Andrie Yunus.
Four military personnel have been named as defendants in the case. They consist of three officers and one non-commissioned officer: Captain NDP, First Lieutenant BHW, First Lieutenant SL, and Second Sergeant ES.
According to the Criminal Procedure Code (SIPP), the defendants were charged with multiple or subsidiary charges.
For the primary charge, the defendants were charged under Article 469 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 20 letter C of Law Number 1 of 2023, which carries a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison.
The subsidiary charge is Article 448 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 20 letter C of Law Number 1 of 2023, which carries a maximum sentence of eight years in prison.
Meanwhile, the subsidiary charges use Article 467 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 20 letter C of Law Number 1 of 2023 with a maximum sentence of seven years in prison.
