TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Member of the K-Pop sensation BLACKPINK, Jisoo, is reportedly set to release new music on September 4, 2026.
This was confirmed by The Korea Herald on Monday, August 24, 2026, citing industry sources.
The singer also posted a teaser video clip with the word "CLICK" and the date September 4, 2026, on her social media accounts on Monday.
The video clip post is believed to hint at her plans to release new music.
"This new song will not feature other artists and will be part of her first full-length solo album, which will include several other songs," an industry source told The Korea Herald.
Meanwhile, The Straits Times reported that Grammy-winning director Joseph Kahn directed the music video for the new single, "which was shot in Bangkok," the source was quoted as saying, without spilling any details.
Kahn has worked with various pop stars before, including Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Eminem.
Details of the song—including the title and genre—have yet to be revealed.
Jisoo last released the song "Eyes Closed (feat. Zayn)" in October 2025. Her new single is expected to be part of her upcoming album.
The four members of BLACKPINK—Lisa, Jennie, Rose, and Jisoo—parted ways with YG Entertainment in December 2023, but they remain with the group. While the other three members have since released solo LPs under their respective labels, Jisoo largely focused on acting, with her latest dramas including 'Boyfriend on Demand' and 'Newtopia.'
Jisoo established her own label, Blissoo, in 2024 to manage her solo activities.
She also released a four-track EP, 'Amortage,' in February 2025.
Jisoo's release will come less than a week after Jennie's new physical EP, 'Fallen Angel,' which will include the title track of the same name and her recent single 'Less than a Lover.'
