TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Light Festival is returning to Lapangan Banteng Park in Central Jakarta this weekend. This popular event features captivating video mapping performances projected onto the surrounding building facades, blending technology and art into stunning visual displays.

In addition to the light shows, there will be musical performances by talented local artists, including Bilal Indrajaya, Jazz, and Omom. With the theme "JE KA TE World", the Jakarta Light Festival 2025 aims to highlight the city's iconic landmarks within the rich framework of Betawi culture. This includes celebrating Jakarta's diverse food, modern transportation systems, and historical importance.

According to the Instagram page of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, @disparekrafdki, the Jakarta Light Festival will take place from May 23 to May 25, 2025, starting at 5:30 PM Western Indonesian Time (WIB).

How to Attend the Jakarta Light Festival 2025

This event is free to enter, meaning you won't need to pay anything to experience the Jakarta Light Festival 2025. Simply make your way to Lapangan Banteng Park at the designated times mentioned above.

Getting to Lapangan Banteng Park

Visitors can easily reach the location using various public transportation options, including the Commuter Line (KRL) and Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), or by using an online motorcycle taxi or online ojek. Here are some convenient routes:

Via MRT:

- Take the MRT to Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI) Station.

- From there, you can either enjoy a 13-minute walk or take an online ojek for the 5 km distance.

Via KRL:

There are two main options if you are traveling by KRL:

- From Jakarta Kota Station: Take the KRL directly to Juanda Station. From Juanda, you can walk for about 750 meters or take an online ojek for 1.4 km.

- From Bekasi Station: You will need to transfer at Manggarai Station and then continue your journey to Juanda Station. Once at Juanda, you have the same options: a 750-meter walk or an online ojek.
