
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono received an honorary visit from Croatian Ambassador to Indonesia Neboja Koharovi, at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) office in Jakarta on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Sugiono and Koharovi agreed to enhance ties in all areas of cooperation between the two countries.
As reported in the official ministry statement, Sugiono and Koharovi expressed appreciation for the strong, long-standing political relations between Indonesia and Croatia, including within the framework of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN.
Furthermore, they reaffirmed their commitment to promote cooperation in workforce and trade, particularly regarding market access to their respective regions.
In the context of social and cultural cooperation, Indonesia and Croatia have engaged in numerous collaborations, including advancing interfaith dialogue, as well as cooperation in football training.
According to MoFA records, the trade value between Indonesia and Croatia reached US$144.8 million last year, with main exports including palm oil, coal, synthetic rubber, and paper.
Additionally, the trade value between Indonesia and Croatia ranks first compared to the trade value with other ASEAN countries.
