TEMPO.CO, Jakarta Indonesian Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar believes that the concert by Taiwanese vocal group F4 at the Indonesia Arena in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday, May 29, 2026, demonstrates Indonesia's ability to host international-class performances.

"The F Forever concert demonstrates Indonesia's immense capacity to present world-class performances. From the stage design, technology, to the audience experience, everything demonstrates that Indonesia's creative industry, particularly the performing arts, is growing increasingly mature and competitive internationally," Umar said in an official statement confirmed in Jakarta on Sunday.

Umar believes that the international-scale concert also demonstrates that Indonesia's creative industry, particularly the performing arts subsector, continues to grow and is capable of hosting world-class events.

The splendor of the F Forever concert also reflected the rapid development of the performing arts industry in Indonesia. The F Forever concert was a magnificent display, featuring a 360-degree stage concept, combined with a large LED screen and a circular stage extending into the audience area.

The modern stage design provided an immersive experience and demonstrated the Indonesian creative industry's ability to support international concert productions of global standards.

In recent years, Indonesia has become increasingly trusted as a destination for various international concerts and performances. The presence of world-class artists in Indonesia not only demonstrates the size of the Indonesian entertainment market but also demonstrates the readiness of the national creative industry ecosystem, from promoters, creative workers, production technology, to international-standard venue facilities.

This growth is a positive signal that the performing arts subsector is capable of becoming a driver of the national creative economy. Concerts and entertainment activities also create a multiplier effect for various sectors such as hospitality, transportation, culinary, fashion, and even local MSMEs that participate during the event.

Irene emphasized that the development of Indonesia's creative industry is not only reflected in the grandeur of a performance, but also in the economic impact it generates for the community.

"The creative economy isn't just about entertainment, but about how a work of art can create job opportunities and stimulate the community's economy. An international-scale concert like this is clear evidence that Indonesia's creative industry continues to grow, creating jobs, and involving many local talents across various industries," said Irene.

F4's F Forever concert was a lively success, with high fan enthusiasm. The vocal group returned to greet their fans with a nostalgic performance presented in a modern and spectacular way. Thousands of spectators filled the concert arena, held on May 28-30, 2026, to witness the performances of members long known for their music and popular TV series in Asia.

In addition to providing lively entertainment, the concert also demonstrated the strong collaboration between event organizers, local creative workers, and the support of Indonesia's performance industry infrastructure. The use of lighting technology, sound systems, and large-scale stage design reflected Indonesia's growing readiness to become a hub for international concerts and performances in the Asian region.
