A notable bug in this open-world game is Uncle Muthu, a character who often appears suddenly in various locations. Some users encountered graphic obstacles, despite meeting the recommended specifications.
There are also concerns about the price. Released a few days ago, Upin & Ipin Universe was priced at Rp654,452 on Steam and Epic Games Store. As for PlayStation (PS) 4 and 5, the price is Rp579,000, while on Nintendo Switch, it's around Rp652,000. "It's too expensive," as stated in one of the comments on Steam.
Other users also complained about the confusing storyline. Although the game is set in the world of children with freedom of exploration, the gameplay in Kampung Durian Runtuh, the environment where Upin, Ipin, and friends live, is considered weak, despite providing side stories for the players.
In the realm of PS, this game received an average rating of 2.97 out of 5, based on 111 user reviews. Epic Games Store does not display a review column. The types of comments on YouTube regarding Upin & Ipin Universe vary significantly based on individual experiences.
The Background of Upin & Ipin Universe
Developed by Streamline Studios in collaboration with Les' Copaque Production, the game allows players to explore the open world while completing various missions. Players will control two characters simultaneously, Upin and Ipin, to explore all places on the map.
In addition to the twin brothers Upin and Ipin and their playmates, there are also several adult characters, such as Opah (grandmother) and Kak Ros (older sister), who are members of Upin and Ipin's family. Tok Dalang is also a neighbor and playmate of Upin and Ipin.
Players can participate in a variety of activities, such as playing traditional games like tops, racing cars, and catching insects. The game's characters can also swim in the river, ride a bike around the village, and fry chicken.
