The Weeknd Confirms 2-Day Jakarta Concert in September 2026

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Canadian singer-songwriter The Weeknd will be holding a two-day concert in Jakarta on September 26-27, 2026. Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) has been chosen to host the singer of the mega-hit single "Blinding Lights" in Indonesia.

The news was announced on Monday, May 11, 2026, through an Instagram post by the concert promoter TEM Presents. This concert will be part of The Weeknd's stadium tour titled "After Hours Til Dawn."

Ticket Purchase Information

To attend the concert, fans are required to register an account through The Weeknd's official tour website to purchase 'artist presale' tickets. The registration period will open on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Jakarta time, and close on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 07:00 a.m. Ticket sales will begin on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. and close on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Fans can also purchase BCA Bank presale tickets using their bank account. For this category, ticket sales will remain open for three days, from Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. until Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. 

Additionally, the general on-sale ticket categories will be available starting from Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 02:00 p.m.

The Weeknd's Tour in Asia

In addition to Jakarta, The Weeknd will travel to several other cities in Asia for the "After Hours Til Dawn" tour. These include Tokyo, Singapore, Seoul, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur.

According to a report from Bandwagon Asia, this tour will mark The Weeknd—whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye—final appearances in Asia for the year. The Asian leg of the tour will also mark the closing phase of one of the largest solo tours in music history.

A series of songs covering The Weeknd's entire career is also expected to be performed during the tour, including a celebration of his album trilogy, After Hours, Dawn FM, and Hurry Up Tomorrow.

Japanese hip-hop duo, Creepy Nuts, will join The Weeknd as support in most of the Asian concert schedules. Additionally, DJ Yousuke Yukimatsu from Japan will also perform at certain venues.

The Weeknd's Humanitarian Mission in Asia

In addition to showcasing his music, The Weeknd's "After Hours Til Dawn" tour in Asia also carries a humanitarian mission. According to similar reports, the tour will continue its humanitarian partnership with Global Citizen and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). Every US$1 (or its local currency equivalent) from each ticket sold throughout Asia will be donated to global education initiatives and hunger relief. However, it's noted that the concert in Jakarta is not included in this program.

Recently, The Weeknd received the Best Tour of the Year award at the 2026 iHeartRadio Awards and the Best R&B Tour at the Pollstar Awards. This further strengthens the cultural impact of The Weeknd's stadium concert series that is currently underway.
