TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Non-TPI Tangerang Immigration Office Class I Special Class imposed administrative measures in the form of deportation and banning against six Foreign Nationals of Pakistan for misusing their stay permits. The six Pakistani nationals with the initials AK, MU, MA, NA, MFY, and RB were apprehended while selling kebabs in the Tangerang Regency.
Interim Head of the Tangerang Immigration Office Class I Indra Maulana Dimyati stated that the six Pakistani nationals were suspected of violating Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration. "They were subjected to administrative measures in the form of deportation and banning," said Indra on Monday, July 21, 2025.
According to Indra, the deportation process for the six Pakistani nationals is currently being carried out gradually. MU and AK are scheduled to return to Pakistan using Thai Airways TG434 on Tuesday today, July 22, 2025, at 12:35. Meanwhile, RB and MFY will be sent back on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 20:40 with Batik Air Malaysia OD347 heading to Karachi. "Meanwhile, NA and MA are still waiting for the availability of return tickets," said Indra.
Pakistani Nationals Arrested While Selling Kebabs
Immigration officers apprehended the six Pakistani nationals at two different locations in the Tangerang Regency, namely at the Kebab Shop Bin Khalid located in Perum Bumi Asri, Kutabumi, and Taman Buah 1 Housing Complex, Kutabumi, in the Wirawaspada operation on July 15, 2025.
Four of them, namely AK, MU, MA, and NA, were arrested while working at the Kebab Shop Bin Khalid as servers and cooks, while the other two, MFY and RB, were secured in Taman Buah 1, which is the residence of these foreign nationals.
Holder of Investor Limited Stay Permit (ITAS)
Based on immigration data examination, AK and MU were registered as holders of Investor Limited Stay Permits (ITAS) with PT. Bin Khalid Traders as their sponsor. Meanwhile, MA is a holder of ITAS with PT. Zara Textile Group as the sponsor, while NA, MFY, and RB used tourist visit visas (Index C1) which should only be used for tourism, family visits, or transit.
"However, from the examination results, it turns out that AK, MU, and MA did not know the amount of their investment and information related to their sponsors," said Indra. When the officers traced the sponsor addresses, according to Indra, PT Bin Khalid Traders listed in Citylofts Sudirman, Central Jakarta turned out to be a civilian residential apartment, not a company office. PT. Zara Textile Group registered in Citra Tower, Central Jakarta, also did not have any office activities, only a virtual office.
Indra stated that NA, MFY, and RB, who claimed to be potential investors, were found to have fictitious company documents. They stated their investment plans in PT. Moonlight Trading International and PT. Sharoz Global Trading addressed at Plaza Aminta, South Jakarta. "However, the site checks did not indicate the presence of these two companies," said Indra.
