TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s net worth has remained under the spotlight well after the couple chose to live independently outside the royal family. No longer receiving financial support from the royal family, they rely on various sources of income, ranging from their careers and businesses to deals with media companies. So, how much is Harry and Meghan’s net worth today?
How Much Is Prince Harry’s Inheritance?
Although Prince Harry has decided to step back from his role as a member of the British royal family, part of his personal wealth comes from the inheritance he received from his family.
After Princess Diana’s death in 1997, Prince Harry’s mother left an estate worth approximately £13 million or US$17.6 million (after taxes). This inheritance was then divided equally between Prince Harry and Prince William, so that each received approximately £6.5 million or US$8.8 million.
Harry also received an inheritance from his grandmother, the Queen Mother, through a trust fund set up for her grandchildren. According to a report by The Telegraph, Harry and William each received about £8 million (US$10.8 million) when they turned 21, and an additional £10 million (US$13.5 million) each when they turned 40.
Details of the exact amount received by both princes, however, have not been made public.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Net Worth
Aside from his family inheritance, Prince Harry also earns income from several commercial deals in the media industry.
In 2020, Harry and Meghan signed a multi-year production deal with Netflix reportedly worth around US$100 million. Through Archewell Productions, the couple went on to produce several projects, including the documentary series Harry & Meghan, which was released in 2022.
That same year, the couple also signed an exclusive US$20 million podcast deal with Spotify, which ended in 2023 after the release of Harry and Meghan's podcast series, Archetypes, along with a holiday special. The early termination was reportedly linked to concerns over the couple’s productivity.
Another source of Harry’s income is his memoir called Spare, published by Penguin Random House in 2023. Harry reportedly received a US$20 million advance for the book. Spare went on to become the fastest-selling non-fiction book at the time, with more than six million copies sold across all formats worldwide. Its success may also have generated additional income through royalties.
Aside from the media deals she shares with Harry, Meghan Markle also has income from her acting career and personal business ventures. Through her role as Rachel Zane on Suits, Meghan reportedly earned around US$50,000 per episode and appeared in more than 100 episodes. It is also possible that she still gains earnings from residuals after leaving the show, especially after its renewed popularity following a Netflix deal.
Meghan has also developed her own lifestyle business, As Ever, which launched in 2025. The brand sells a range of products, including jams, teas, candles, flower sprinkles and wine. While the brand has yet to disclose its sales figures, Meghan has said several of the brand's products sold out quickly, including its debut rosé, which sold out within 44 minutes after its launch.
Prince Harry and Meghan have built a substantial fortune both as a couple and as individuals. The combined net worth of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was estimated at US$60 million in 2026, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
