TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto revealed that he does not plan to reshuffle the Merah Putih (Red and White) Cabinet amid rumors of ministerial changes.
"I have no plans to reshuffle my team. For now, I believe my team is functioning well. Week after week, we prove the achievements we have made," said Prabowo after attending the International Conference on Infrastructure (ICI) 2025 at the Jakarta International Convention Center on Thursday, June 12, 2025.
Prabowo emphasized this to quell any speculation. He believes that, thus far, his ministers have been doing a good job. He mentioned that there have been criticisms of his assistants, but that is something common in a democratic country. He stated that his administration cannot please everyone.
"But as the user, I feel that my ministers are working well," he said. "Sometimes people misspeak, but they work hard. They have good intentions, and we are unified as a team. There is no 'whose person'."
The issue of reshuffling the cabinet arose after Prabowo said he would remove officials who are corrupt, violate the law, and are not loyal to the government. The statement was made during Prabowo's speech on the commemoration of Pancasila Birth Day on Monday, June 2, 2025.
In his address, Prabowo said that those disloyal to the country will be removed without hesitation and regardless of their family, party, or ethnic group. "We will take action against those who are disloyal to the country or violate the law," said the Chairman of the Gerindra Party.
